As we seek to better engage our viewers on Instagram, our social media team has recently adopted a new approach to content. Rather than posting photos straight from the website, we have begun designing our posts specifically for Instagram. In order to help with the transition to a more visually appealing social media page, I contributed two designs.

RECORD RECAPS

With the regular season ending, I decided to recap the records of our winter sports' teams, especially since our athletics website hadn't been updated in a few weeks. Through this design, I wanted to also highlight some of our best sports photos from the winter season. With that in mind, I layered the records behind shots of the players themselves.

STORIES OF THE WEEK PROMO

I also made enhancements to our "Stories of the Week" post. Previously, the stories of the week post had included a intro "What's New" slide along with featured images from the website. I mostly kept the content of the "What's New" slide, but added a papery background and put a color-shadow behind the text. As far as the articles themselves, I made a design specifically for them, with headlines, authors, and featured images all on one slide.
