Welcome to my portfolio! My name is Anuj Khemka and I am the current print editor-in-chief of tjTODAY. I have also contributed to numerous other publications, including ARLNow, InsideNOVA, Lenses News, and the Arlington Historical Society newsletter.

I first joined tjTODAY as a freshman in high school. I was brimming with a desire to tell the stories of my school and local community, but I lacked many of the skills and techniques to do so. Over my four years as a student journalist, I've learned to interview with confidence, write with clarity, and choose the most effective storytelling methods at my disposal. Along the way, I've covered everything from admissions controversies to the impact of a global pandemic, while using a wide variety of platforms to tell those stories.

This portfolio represents the culmination of four years of my life in journalism — of its triumphs, challenges, and lessons. I'm incredibly grateful for the people I've been able to interview, for the stories I've had a chance to cover, and for the obstacles that were there for me to overcome. Every single work of journalism — whether it was an extensive in-depth feature or a single live update on Twitter — has changed me in some way. With that in mind, as you explore my portfolio, I hope you see not just the impact that I've had as a journalist, but the impact that journalism has had on me.
